“When someone tells me you know 'no, you can’t do this,' sometimes they don’t say it but it’s in brackets, "because you’re a girl," I’m just gonna prove how wrong you are.”

Georgette Zinaty has been affiliated with UTSC for the past 25 years, first as an undergraduate student in the 1980s and later as an employee. At the time of the interview, Georgette was the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations and working on her doctorate. She shares with us memories from her student years and reflects on women in senior leadership roles.

 

At the time [1986] not everyone went to university
