“If I was a vegetarian back then [1970s], I wouldn't be able to survive at Scarborough.”

Jeevan Kempson is a long-time Scarborough resident. Originally from India, Jeevan came to Toronto at the age of six and is a graduate from Agincourt Collegiate Institute and UTSC. Today she is the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for UTSC. Jeevan shares her own personal journey growing up as a child of immigrants in Scarborough in the 1970s and 1980s and how life in this part of the city has changed since then.
