“Students might may not excel in a particular course or on a particular assignment. That doesn't mean that they are not going to succeed to their own abilities.”

Nancy Johnson began her work with the Writing Centre in 2005 where she is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, and Associate Director at the Centre for Teaching & Learning. She has been an advocate for disability and access for over twenty years and in the interview shares her passion for working toward greater accessibility in her teaching and generally inspiring students to go to do "great things."


This job mirrors to me my activist work


I made a deliberate choice to be as inclusive as possible


I rarely agree with someone who says students are just distracted by their cell phones
