“Some people they already graduated seven, eight years ago, and they got married, they have children, but they are still coming to eat at my hotdog stand. And that makes me proud.”

Nasir Alhuttam is the owner/proprietor of the hotdog stand on the UTSC campus. Originally from Yemen, Nasir came to Scarborough almost 20 years ago. Although he studied Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and worked in the industry in Yemen, Nasir established himself as an entrepreneur when he came to Canada. He first worked for a friend operating a hotdog stand at York University and then started his own cart at UTSC in 2006. Nasir expresses great gratitude to the UTSC community over the past 10 years. UTSC has become his second home.
