“The big difference I found in this campus [in the 1970s] was that it was wheelchair accessible. For the first time I was attending classes with people in wheelchairs. I had never seen that. (Sandra)”
Devon Muhic and her mother Sandra Baxter Muhic both attended UTSC - Sandra in the 1970s and Devon in 2000s - and continue to feel very much at home on the campus. Devon works with UTSC students around community-based research projects in her role as Youth Coordinator at the Scarborough Museum. Between the two of them, Sandra and Devon have a life experience in Scarborough that spans forty years of work, study and play.
