Sylvia Mittler, or Madame Mittler as her students call her, is an Associate Professor in the Centre for French and Linguistics at UTSC. She grew up in Toronto, completed her doctoral studies in France and began teaching at Scarborough College in 1972. In the conversation, Sylvia reflects on the campus as a 'microcosm of Canada.'
